		<description>Clearly twitter and other similar networks are going to be increasingly important for businesses large and small. These days it&#039;s a fact that your customers are using these tools and are talking about your company and service - bad or good. 

So there definitely is an opportunity to reach customers in a much more personal and relevant way - the big challenge is how to manage this effectively. Right now for many companies, embracing twitter and other tools is like a bit of feeling around in the dark for the light switch. 

It&#039;ll take a bit of time to find it, but no doubt there will be new jobs created for social media monitoring and management as companies recognize the necessity.</description>

I admit, I should have posted this earlier in the semester. My first encounter was with Google Docs and for a while it was a novelty, then as you stated it seems that once all of the issues begin to present themselves, the novelty quickly turn to frustration.  Office live is a far superior tool in most instances...the only issue is the prerequisite to purchase Microsoft software for its use.  In that regard, Google’s free tools may be more appealing in the first instance. Hopefully Google will revamp their popular ‘Docs’ to a level where it can complete against Microsoft for word processing functionality also.</description>

I was not aware of the flight tickets incident, but I am glad that you mentioned it because it does highlight the driving force behind tools like Twitter and begin to highlight the paradigm shift into this new technology. However, there will always be instances where discussing an issue with someone over the telephone is more satisfying than typing it into a message box. For that reason, Web 2.0 can only take over to a certain extent.</description>
